The Kilkenny heavyweight made light work of his last-32 bout with Sweden’s Mustafa El Molla in Azerbaijan.

O’Neill, who needs to win the qualifier competition to earn a spot at this summer’s Olympic Games, dominated all three rounds to claim a unanimous decision victory.

IRELAND’S DARREN O’NEILL has advanced to the next round of the Olympic qualifiers in Baku this evening.
The Kilkenny heavyweight made light work of his last-32 bout with Sweden’s Mustafa El Molla in Azerbaijan.
O’Neill, who needs to win the qualifier competition to earn a spot at this summer’s Olympic Games, dominated all three rounds to claim a unanimous decision victory.
His last-16 bout will take place on Monday when Michael O’Reilly’s (middleweight) qualification attempt begins.
Dean Walsh (light-welterweight) and Dean Gardiner (super-heavyweight) will be in action tomorrow.
